The number of coronavirus patients in the education system stands today at 347, out of about 2,300,00 students and about 200,000 teaching staff.

127 educational institutions have been closed due to the spread of the virus, of about 5,200 schools and about 20,000 kindergartens operating within the education system.

17,497 teaching staff and students are currently in preventative isolation after coming into contact with a coronavirus patient.

The overall data analysis shows that most of the patients, about 56 percent, are from the city of Jerusalem (197 out of 352). Of these, about 75% are students of the Hebrew Gymnasium (148 of 197).

Schools which have not closed will continue to adhere to the precautionary precautions of wearing masks, maintaining hygiene, and maintaining social distance as much as possible.

"The Education Minister continues to conduct regular assessments and systematically monitor the morbidity within the education system. In addition, it continues to lead a clear treatment policy to continue the curriculum, while allowing the proper functioning of the economic economy in Israel," the Education Ministry said.
