El Al plans to resume international flights immediately after the Shavuot holiday at the end of this week, after more than two months of suspended service, Kan News reports.

In the first phase, flights will depart once a week to both New York and Los Angeles. From next month, El Al will also be operating flights between Tel Aviv, Paris, and London, using the company's “Dreamliner” aircraft.

Israel has already begun talks with other countries where the rates of coronavirus infection are very low, with the aim of reaching agreements that will allow movement between countries without the need for people entering and exiting to go into quarantine following their journeys.

Last week, the Seychelles Islands announced that visitors from Israel would not be required to self-isolate upon arrival. Israel has already reached an advanced stage of negotiations with both Cyprus and Greece, and next in line to close an agreement with Israel will probably be Austria, followed by Montenegro, with whom Israel has already been engaging in positive talks.
