
On Saturday, Israel confirmed four new COVID-19 cases, the Health Ministry reported.
The new cases bring Israel's total number of currently active coronavirus cases to 2,343. Of those, 36 are in serious condition, and 279 have died. Another 14,090 coronavirus patients have recovered.
Earlier this week, a toddler in a Tel Aviv daycare was diagnosed with coronavirus, causing the others in his group to require quarantine until May 25.
In addition, the infant of a teacher in a Rehovot school was diagnosed with coronavirus.
Meanwhile, Israel is preparing to reopen bars, cafes, clubs, and restaurants next week, prior to the holiday of Shavuot (Feast of Weeks).
