Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, predicted on Monday that Palestinian Arabs will eventually “establish a government in Tel Aviv”.

His comments, quoted in the Tehran Times, came during a meeting in Tehran with Ziad al-Nakhala, head of the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization.

“Palestine will remain powerful and the Palestinian nation’s final victory will take place in near future with the grace of God,” said Khamenei.

Noting that resistance is key to victory, he added, “As long as there is resistance, the Zionist regime’s downfall and demise will continue.”

“During the past years, the Palestinian people’s victory was not (to the extent) to establish a government in Tel Aviv, which that will be realized with the grace of God, but the main victory was bringing the Zionist regime to knees, a feat that Arab armies could never accomplish,” continued Khamenei.

He referred to the recent escalation in Gaza, during which Gazan terrorist groups fired nearly 500 rockets at southern Israel in one day, claiming Israel saw an overwhelming response that forced it to call for a truce after only two days.

“The Zionist regime called for ceasefire in the two previous wars, one after 22 days and another after eight days. In the last clash, the regime (also) called for ceasefire after 48 hours. This means bringing the occupying Zionist regime to knees,” claimed Khamenei.

He also that Iran will never back away from supporting “Palestine” despite the heavy pressure from the world’s “arrogant powers”.

“These forces will never make us abandon our divine, sacred and rational responsibility,” Khamenei insisted, according to the Tehran Times.

The Supreme Leader has upped his rhetoric in recent weeks. In late November, Khamenei took to Twitter where he belittled Israel and asserted that it “is clearly weaker than 10, 20 years ago.”

Several days later he took to Twitter again to blast both Israel and the US.

“Today, to hell with the US and Zionist regime for threatening the Iranian nation. Their threats and atrocities have so far failed and will continue to fail; the sanctions will also be defeated by the grace of resistance,” he wrote.

In July, Khamenei vowed that the US would be unable to broker a peace deal between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, and that the Jewish state would ultimately disappear from the Middle East.

A month earlier, he posted a Twitter tirade against Israel, saying that “the Zionist regime will perish in the not-so-far future.”

The Supreme Leader has several times in the past referred to the Jewish state as a “cancer” and threatened to "annihilate" the cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa.
