The deputy commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guards said on Thursday that "Iran's enemies do not want a military confrontation, but are interested in its economic isolation."

He added, "Diplomacy cannot help Iran. Resistance is the only way to deal with enemies."

On Wednesday night, Iran fired twenty missiles at Israel. Four of the missiles were shot down by Israel's Iron Dome missile defense system, and the rest fell in Syrian territory.

In response, Israel hit over a dozen Iranian military targets in Syria, harming or destroying nearly all Iranian infrastructure in the area.

Earlier on Wednesday, Iranian Chief of Staff General Mohammad Bagheri said, "The enemies launched an economic war when they realized that a military attack on Iran was impossible. The US Treasury has long been preventing us from holding even a dollar."
