The IDF on Wednesday night fired at an armed terrorist near the northern end of the Gaza-Israel border fence.

On Thursday, the Gazan Health Ministry declared the terrorist dead.

"The IDF will not allow Israeli civilians' security to be harmed, and will act against terrorists involved in terror activity," an IDF statement read.

Also on Wednesday night, the IDF, Shabak (Israel Security Agency), Israel Police, and Border Police arrested in Judea and Samaria eight wanted suspects believed to have been involved in terror activities, lone wolf terror, and violent disturbances aimed at civilians and security forces.

Israel's security forces are preparing for another weekend protest on the Gaza border, which the Gazans have called "the parade of tires" due to their intention to burn tires during the riot.

The burning tires cause injuries to protestors from smoke inhalation, also serving as a "smoke screen" for the rioters' other activities, such as planting explosives near the fence.
