Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman (Yisrael Beytenu) vowed Thursday in an interview with Walla! News that Israel would bring to justice all accomplices of the terror cell which carried out the shooting attack in which Rabbi Raziel Shevach was murdered.

Forces from the IDF and the Border Police’s Yamam counter-terrorism unit on Wednesday evening located in Jenin the terrorists who carried out the shooting attack near Havat Gilad last week, in which Rabbi Shevach was murdered.

PA officials identified the leader of the terror cell as 22-year-old Hamas terrorist Ahmed Jarrar. Jarrar was killed and two other terrorists arrested in the ensuing shootout.

Jarrar was the son of senior Hamas official Nasser Jarrar, who was eliminated in 2002 in a shootout with security forces in the Arab village of Tubas during Israel’s counterterrorism Operation Defensive Shield and was responsible for planning terror attacks against Israelis, including a “mega attack” aimed at claiming many lives.

"The Shin Bet, the IDF and the Border Police have done good and professional intelligence work," Defense Minister Liberman said, adding that the cell had attempted and failed to carry out other terrorist attacks. "In the end, it proves that we will know how to arrive and we will know how to catch all those responsible for harming the citizens of the State of Israel."

"We know who committed the murder, know all the names and we have full identification of all of them." Liberman added that the defense establishment "still does not completely see the whole picture, but it is clear that we have struck all those involved in the incident, and this is an event that we have not seen for a long time."

According to the defense minister, the terror cell in Jenin was part of an organized infrastructure. "We will know how to close the circle on everyone," he said, adding that most of those involved in the terrorist shooting last week are familiar to the defense establishment and that most of them were liquidated. He added that the operation was not carried out cooperation with the Palestinian Authority. "This is the result of the activity of our defense establishment," he said.
