On Tuesday night, IDF forces and Border Police secured the entry of 500 visitors to the Joseph's Tomb compound in the city of Shechem, under jurisdiction of ​​the Samaria Regional Brigade.

Among the visitors was the commander of the Samaria Brigade, Gilad Amit, who lit the eighth candle of Hanukkah in Joseph's Tomb, together with the deputy head of the Samaria Regional Council, Davidi Ben Tzion.

During the prayers, a violent riot broke out during which Arabs burned tires and threw stones at security forces, who responded with crowd dispersal tools, fired into the air to disperse the crowd, and arrested three rioters.

The IDF is examining Arab claims that three rioters were injured.
