The Sovereignty Movement founded by Women in Green will launch a 48-hour global fundraising campaign today in support of the movement to apply a practical political policy of Israeli sovereignty in Judea, Samaria, and the Jordan Valley.

In preparation for the campaign's launch that will be headquartered at the Oz veGaon Preserve in Gush Etzion, the movement is unveiling the video made for the special event entitled Turning the Vision into Reality, which emphasizes the organization’s objectives for the near future.

The fundraising event will open with a conference on Sovereignty with noted speakers Rav Baruch Efrati, journalist Caroline Glick, economist Eran Bar Tal, and architect Yoram Ginzburg.

The campaign will take place over 48 hours, and if the designated target amount is raised it will be doubled by a group of donors. The movement adds the cautionary note that if the target amount is not reached, all donations will be cancelled.

The heads of the movement, Yehudit Katsover and Nadia Matar, view the operation as especially important at this time: “In light of recent vehement reactions among the Israeli Left and around the world, and in response to the fear that we may have to 'pay' for American President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, now more than ever it seems that there is an imperative to promote the platform of the Israeli Right, the Sovereignty platform.

“Perhaps for a moment, it seemed that there was disillusionment with the idea of dividing our Homeland and establishing a terror state in its heart. Such dangerous ideas were being dismissed, but it seems, in recent days, that despite the heavy price that Israel has paid, there are still many in Israel, in Europe, and worldwide pushing to implement such catastrophic steps. Therefore, we of the Sovereignty Movement believe that the correct thing to do, especially now, is to renew the momentum of the Sovereignty Campaign, to amplify the voices of the people as a tailwind to members of the Knesset and the cabinet who support Sovereignty.”

Katsover and Matar call on the ever-increasing number of people who are supporters of Sovereignty to mobilize for the fundraising campaign and the entire movement.
