A child lost consciousness and stopped breathing at his kindergarten on Bar Ilan Street in Beit Shemesh Thursday afternoon. United Hatzalah volunteers responded to the emergency and performed CPR on the child until the ambulance was able to arrive.

The mother of the child said that her son had not been feeling well during the day and when she picked him up from kindergarten he turned blue and passed out.

"When I arrived I found the child blue, unconscious and not breathing," said United Hatzalah EMT Ofir Yitzchak. "Together with other volunteers from United Hatzalah I performed CPR on the child until the ambulance came. Luckily, we were able to revive the child to the point where he began breathing once again, and he was transported in serious but stable condition."
