The brother of the man who committed the worst mass shooting in US history claimed that the shooter was a 'normal guy' who 'snapped,' the Daily Mail reported.

Eric Paddock told the Mail that something happened' to make his brother, Stephen Paddock, open fire at a country music concert at the Mandalay Bay resort just before 10:30 p.m. local time. 50 people were murdered and more than 400 were wounded in the shooting.

According to Eric, there was "absolutely no indication he could do something like this." He said that his brother had no political or religious affiliation.

"He was just a guy. Something happened, he snapped or something," he said. "We know absolutely nothing, this is just, we are dumbfounded."

Stephen Paddock committed suicide before police could apprehend him.

The ISIS terrorist organization claimed responsibility for the shooting. The terror group also claimed that Paddock had converted to Islam. US officials dismissed the groups' claims.
