Popular late-night talk show host Conan O'Brien will arrive in Israel at the end of August to film a segment for his TBS show, Yediot Aharonot reported on Saturday.

Barring any last minute changes, the Israeli newspaper said, O'Brien is expected to be in Israel for five days during which he will film the segment in different locations across the country.

O'Brien announced his visit on Twitter Friday night, linking the announcement to an article on the upcoming visit to Israel of U.S. President Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner.

"Breaking: Conan O'Brien sends Conan O'Brien to Israel to help Jared Kushner. Stay tuned," the tweet read.

The filming in Israel will be produced by Assaf and Roni Nawi of the Nawi Pro production company, according to Yediot Aharonot.

A senior White House official told Arutz Sheva on Friday that Kushner’s visit is meant to “continue discussions with regional partners about how best to support the peace effort”.

The official said that Kushner will be joined by Trump’s envoy Jason Greenblatt and Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategy Dina Powell.
