The Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the US Navy and the French Navy completed a major joint exercise in the underwater warfare Thursday morning.

A senior officer said that for the first time, the French navy was integrated into drills, "and that's unique." The exercise dealt with a variety of scenarios, including underwater mines, hostile terrorist activity (explosive devices, booby trapped ships, etc.).

The exercise itself was divided into two parts. In the first part, a two-week drill dealt with a variety of underwater scenarios, such as explosives at great depths, mines, and more. The second part dealt with hostile terror activity at sea.
