The heat wave which has lasted for nearly two weeks shows no sign of letting up as the second week of summer vacation comes to a close.

Friday will see a rise in temperatures, becoming warmer than usual for the season. It will be hot and dry in the mountains and inland, and humid along the coast.

Residents of Israel's coastal cities, lowlands, and northern Negev will experience oppressive heat. In the eastern valleys and the Arava region, the heat will be extreme. Those in Israel's mountainous regions will experience moderate to oppressive heat.

Temperatures for Friday will range between 25-39 degrees Celsius in Kiryat Shmona, 23-36 degrees Celsius in Katzrin, 23-34 degrees in Tzfat, Jerusalem, and Nazareth, 26-41 in Tiberias, and 25-32 in Haifa. In Tel Aviv, temperatures will range between 25-32 degrees Celsius, while Ashkelon will see 25-31 degrees, Ein Gedi 32-42 degrees, Be'er Sheva 23-38 degrees, Arad 22-36 degrees, Mitzpe Ramon 23-35 degrees, and Eilat 30-43 degrees.

Saturday's temperatures will be similar, with hot and dry weather in Israel's mountainous and inland regions, and muggy weather along the coast.

Sunday's weather will be much the same as Saturday's, but the heat will become more oppressive in all regions.

The heat will lessen on Monday, but temperatures will still be warm for the season in the mountainous and inland regions, and the coastline will be muggy.
