At least 6 people, including 4 children, were killed in a car crash on Highway 60 in the Binyamin region Tuesday afternoon.

Michael Chai Cohen, a United Hatzalah EMT who was one of the first responders at the scene said: "The motor vehicle accident took place between a Palestinian transport van, a private Palestinian car and an Israeli bus. Sadly, four children and two adults were declared dead on scene while others suffered severe injuries. In addition to EMS teams, Fire and Rescue crews worked to extricate trapped passengers from the vehicles."

All six fatalities were Palestinian Authority residents. In addition, a 17-year-old boy was seriously wounded and a 50-year-old man was moderately injured. Magen David Adom teams who arrived at the scene of the serious accident gave medical treatment to the injured and evacuated them to Hadassah Ein Karem and Mount Scopus in Jerusalem.

The police blocked Highway 60 in both directions and are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
