Yair Lapid, the chairman of the Yesh Atid Party, spoke today (Thursday) at the Herzliya Conference of the Institute for Policy and Strategy at IDC Herzliya.

Lapid referred to a number of bills on the agenda and added, "Extremism today is not on the fringes, it is in the government, it is part of the government, it is the language used by the government ... This terrible discourse, this unending saga of insults is aimed at only one purpose: To hide the fact that they have no plan. We do.

"They have no plan, the Prime Minister has no plan ... and he never will ... I respect the Prime Minister, I do not share in the discourse that blames him for everything, but this is the most exhausting job in the world and there is such thing as fatigue. What you didn't do for four terms, you already won't do.

"We have a plan, but the first condition for the plan is that we stop harming each other. If we want something good to happen, we must learn to work together, united, one people, one Israel, that's what we're offering, that's our way."

Lapid also attacked the continuing investigations of the Prime Minister. "The Prime Minister is undergoing a criminal investigation that goes on without end, and the law enforcement authorities act as though they have all the time in the world. They don't. The State is under a cloud. Announce that he didn't do anything, announce an indictment, but finish with it! One way or the other. The Prime Minister's associates, the people closest to him, received millions on the 'submarine scheme', and no one even denies it, but we have become accustomed to it. Corruption appears to us as a part of life."
