Leaders of the Judea and Samaria settlement movement met this afternoon with the Prime Minister. The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s office and dealt with the leaders’ demand for a dramatic change on the issue of building in Judea and Samaria and an end to the effective building freeze being imposed.

Head of the Shomron Council Yossi Dagan said following the meeting that it took place in a positive atmosphere. “I first met with the Prime Minister together with several other local authority heads, and yesterday we spoke face to face. This is already the third meeting in the last day, and I certainly think that the Prime Minister is radiating a positive attitude.”

"Even so, I say clearly, as one who highly respects the Prime Minister, that the expectation after 8 years of being hung out to dry is a real change in action and not just words. Therefore, we are happy and applaud the listening and the pleasant atmosphere, but our residents need a change and a real surge in building.

“We will follow developments and be adamant about making sure that the change in deeds and upsurge in building really does return to Judea and Samaria,” he added.
