US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley, who will visit Israel next week along with her Israeli counterpart, Ambassador Danny Danon, will tour the Old City of Jerusalem during her trip to the region.

Ambassador Hailey will arrive in Israel this coming Wednesday morning, and during the day she will meet with President Reuven Rivlin and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, as well as visit the Old City of Jerusalem.

On Thursday, Ambassador Hailey will travel with Ambassador Danon along Israel's border with the Gaza Strip border, fly by helicopter over the country, and visit the northern border. Haley is also expected to meet with representatives of the Palestinian Authority leadership on Thursday.

On Friday, Haley and Danon will visit the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum, after which she will travel to Tel Aviv.

"We are happy to have a true friend of Israel in our country," Danon said, "Haley has been standing with Israel for many years, and [has become] even more so since she came to the UN. Her important visit is an opportunity to present our country and the common challenges we face."
