An email leaked by Wikileaks Monday revealed that Democratic National Committee chairman Donna Brazile shared a debate question with Hillary Clinton before the debate took place in March, Fox News reported.

Brazile sent Clinton Communications Director Jennifer Palmieri an email with the title “One of the questions directed to HRC tomorrow is from a woman with a rash,” the night before the debate in Flint, Michigan.

Brazile wrote in the body of the email that “Her family has lead poisoning and she will ask what, if anything, will Hillary do as president to help the ppl of Flint."

During the debate, Lee-Anne Walters, a resident of Flint whose children have suffered from the Flint water contamination crisis, asked the candidates: "After my family, the city of Flint and the children in D.C. were poisoned by lead, will you make a personal promise to me right now that, as president, in your first 100 days in office, you will make it a requirement that all public water systems must remove all lead service lines throughout the entire United States, and notification made to the — the citizens that have said service lines?”

Clinton's answer drew applause from the crowd.

Brazile, a veteran political analyst for CNN, went on temporary leave in order to head the Democratic National Committee. On October 14, however, she resigned formally from the news organization in response to the leaked emails showing that she had provided Clinton with debate questions in advance.

CNN spokesperson Lauren Pratapas wrote that CNN “never gave Brazile access to any questions, prep material, attendee list, background information or meetings in advance of a town hall or debate.”

Donald Trump addressed the subject at a rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan. “Speaking of draining the swamp, Donna Brazile did it again,” he said. “WikiLeaks today, she gave the questions to a debate to Hillary Clinton." With regard to Clinton's receiving the questions before the debate, he asked: "Why didn't she report it?"
