The Israeli navy's missile boat squadron, Shayetet 3, on Thursday completed a major two-week exercise simulating an attack by hostile naval forces on Israeli vessels and territorial waters.

Specialized missile boats successfully neutralized all enemy targets in the simulation, which involved its entire force.

The highlight of the exercise was the successful deployment of advanced sea-to-sea cruise missiles, boasting a 120-kilometer range. A senior IDF officer said that during the operation two such "Harpoon" class missiles were fired at targets.
