Shortly after 10:00 p.m. on Monday night, a 60-year-old Jewish man was stabbed near the Lion's Gate. The terrorist escaped but was caught in an alleyway several hours later. He is described as an 18-year-old Arab youth from Judea and Samaria, and he quickly admitted to the stabbing.

MDA treated the victim and brought him to Sha'arei Tzedek Hospital. Doctors say that he was moderately wounded.
