Israel has been enjoying some early spring weather, and the wave of warm weather is expected to reach a peak on Wednesday.

The heat wave, accompanied by clouds and haze, is to peak through most of the country, with strong eastern winds anticipated in the north.

Then on Wednesday night the heat wave will break, as temperatures fall and local rains visit certain regions together with thunder storms. There is a flood warning for rivers in the east and south.

Thursday is to see the temperatures fall significantly even as the humidity rises, and occasional rains are expected. Flood warnings remain in effect, and the haze and strong winds are also to remain.

It will be partially cloudy on Friday, with average temperatures for the season, and on Shabbat the weather is expected to be pleasant as a light rise in temperatures is felt.

Maximum temperatures for Wednesday are predicted to be 27° C (81° F) in Katzrin in the Golan Heights, 27° C (81° F) in Haifa, 29° C (85° F) in Tel Aviv, 24° C (76° F) in Jerusalem, and 33° C (91° F) in Eilat.
