A stabbing attack took place on Barazani Street in Jerusalem on Sunday afternoon, with one male victim lightly wounded in the attack.

The street is located in Armon Hanatziv, a neighborhood in the southeast of the capital.

The terrorist has escaped the site of the stabbing, and large security forces are hunting him down with the help of a helicopter. The terrorist reportedly was seen wearing a black leather jacket running towards Tsur Baher, an adjacent Arab neighborhood. A short time later a suspect matching the terrorist's description was captured.

Magen David Adom (MDA) medical teams are on the scene providing medical treatment to the victim, who refused to be evacuated to the hospital.

Apparently the terrorist waited at a bus station for some time, before suddenly drawing a knife and stabbing his victim. Fortunately the knife did not penetrate the man's body, leaving only very light wounds, and the terrorist quickly fled the scene.

There were initially conflicting reports, with some sources reporting that one victim was lightly wounded in the attack, while MDA teams at first said they had yet to locate the victim.

The attack comes just shortly after a shooting attack in Hevron, in which an Arab sniper terrorist shot a female soldier, moderately wounding her outside the Cave of Machpelah. The 19-year-old victim suffered a gunshot wound to her hip.

Sunday's incidents follow a lethal shooting attack last Friday afternoon, in which an Arab citizen of Israel shot dead two victims and wounded nine others at a pub in Tel Aviv. The terrorist is still at large.
