Two days after an Arab terrorist stabbed Corporal Ziv Mizrahi Hy"d to death at the Dor Alon gas station on Highway 443, Arutz Sheva has learned, the security establishment has begun putting up a fence south of the road, near Beit Horon.

In the coming days, a new guard position will be put in place near the gas station and the thick brush nearby will be cut down. A security source said that the fence will prevent Palestinians from reaching the gas station on foot, and also from accessing the small Field Intelligence Corps nearby, in which Mizrahi served.

The fence will also keep the Arabs away from Highway 443 and the cars that travel on it.

There are pre-existing sections of fence along the road that were built to try and ward off rock terror in the past, but the area between the gas station and Beit Horon did not have such a fence.

The IDF has been placing numerous concrete barriers and other obstacles in many places in Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria, in the hope of preventing stabbing and car-ramming terror attacks. The attacks appear to go on unabated, however.
