A terrorist was shot and neutralized after trying to stab an Israeli Border Police officer near Damascus Gate in the Old City of Jerusalem. He was described as being in serious condition, and did not succeed in injuring anyone else.

The stabbing was reported minutes after initial reports surfaced of a stabbing attack on the Jerusalem light rail, at the Yekutiel Adam station in Pisgat Ze'ev.

A 25-year-old security guard for the Light Rail suffered moderate injuries to his upper body in that attack. The trauma center at Jerusalem's Sha'are Tzedek Hospital received the security guard, who is lightly to moderately wounded after being stabbed in the chest and head. He is stable and conscious.

Two Arab terrorists carried out the Pisgat Ze'ev attack; one, aged 13, has been arrested, the other, a 12 year-old, was injured after security forces opened fire. He is listed in moderate to serious condition and has also been detained by police..
