Security officials transferred two more bodies of terrorists to their relatives in the Palestinian Authority (PA) overnight Saturday/Sunday, despite the Security Cabinet decision over two weeks ago not to return the bodies of terrorists.

The terrorists who were transferred have not yet been named.

Defense officials claimed in the decision's wake Sunday morning that the deterrence measure was a "mistake" and that the planned transfer of bodies was merely delayed.

On Saturday night, the bodies of another five terrorists were transported via Tarkumiya Crossing to Hevron in Judea, where they were received with fanfare in an official ceremony by the Palestinian Authority (PA), and with celebrations for the "martyrs" by local residents.

The bodies of seven terrorists who were shot and killed while conducting attacks were returned in October, before the Security Cabinet decision.
