Rocket alarms sounded shortly before 7:00 pm near Kfar Aza and Kibbutz Sa'ad, near the border with Gaza.

One rocket apparently struck an open field in the Sha'ar HaNegev region - but the warhead did not explode, Walla! News reports. Sappers are at the site.

No injuries or damage were reported.

IDF forces are currently scanning the area.

MK Haim Yelin (Yesh Atid) accused Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu of not keeping his promises to secure Israel's borders shortly after the rocket fire.

"Mr. Security Netanyahu signed an agreement after Operation Pillar of Cloud that reduced the scope of protection of the IDF in the Gaza Strip, and has brought us to a situation in which Gazans are now on our borders," he fired. "Just yesterday, the Prime Minister claimed that Hamas got the message, he just forgot to mention what message."

"Hamas leaders see that there is no leadership in Israel, and you can continue to shoot, are allowed to approach the fence and it's okay to violate the sovereignty of the State of Israel."
