Four residents of Kohav Hashahar have been identified as those injured in the shooting attack on a private vehicle in Binyamin overnight Monday/Tuesday, as they were returning home from playing basketball in Shvut Rachel, near Shiloh.

One, named as Malachi Moshe Rosenfeld, is seriously injured. His older brother, who was an Air Force pilot, was killed while hiking in Nahal Ze'elim in 2002.

"We are at a difficult time," his father, Eliezer, stated overnight to Arutz Sheva from his son's hospital bed. "All the people of Israel are at a difficult time."

"We know there is strength in your prayers," he continued. "Please pray with a full heart that God will send him a speedy recovery and save him, and we are confident that you will send him the strength to fight and for doctors to do their work."

Rosenfeld is currently in intensive care at Shaarei Tzedek hospital in Jerusalem, along with another person who was lightly wounded; two others were transported to Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center for treatment.

Multiple terrorists were involved in the shooting, and fled the area. Several communities in the Binyamin region were on lockdown in the hours after the attack.

The terrorist attack in Shvut Rachel is the second attack in several hours. Earlier on Monday, an IDF soldier was wounded in a stabbing attack at Rachel's Tomb in Bethlehem.

And on Saturday night, terrorists opened fire on a civilian ambulance as it was driving along a road adjacent to Beit El in the Binyamin region. At least three direct hits from the bullets were located on the ambulance, but fortunately no one was wounded in the incident.
