Shira Klein was critically wounded on Wednesday night in what police have begun to recognize as an intentional terror attack, when an Arab driver ran over her and Shalom Yohai Sherki as they waited at a bus stop in the French Hill neighborhood of Jerusalem.

Sherki, who Klein was on a date with, was murdered in the attack, while she was left in serious albeit stable condition.

It was announced on Thursday afternoon that Klein is currently hospitalized at the emergency care unit of Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem, and is breathing on a respirator while anesthetized.

Klein's mother Ada stated that her family shares in the sorrow of the Sherki family over the loss of Shalom, and asks the public to pray for the full recovery of: Shira bat Adel Ada.

Jerusalem district police announced on Thursday afternoon that after an investigation of the Arab driver who struck Sherki and Klein, and after collecting evidence at the scene, the suspicion that the incident was a terror attack has been greatly strengthened.

However, police say their investigation is still ongoing and has not reached conclusive results.

Sherki's sister Ester Sultan spoke on Thursday, saying that it was "unreal" for the terror attack to occur on Holocaust Remembrance Day, and urging the reality of terrorism in Jerusalem to be changed.
