The bi-weekly paper The Capital City, which is distributed with the official Palestinian Authority daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, featured a cartoon Thursday portraying Temple Mount activist Rabbi Yehuda Glick as a venomous snake.
The cartoon, exposed and translated by Palestinian Media Watch, portrays Mu'taz Hijazi, who attempted to murder Rabbi Glick on Oct. 29, strangling Rabbi Glick while saying: "You make me mad!"
Eyewitnesses described Hijazi uttering those words second before pulling the trigger and shooting Rabbi Glick four times at close range. The veteran Temple Mount activist is currently recovering from his wounds in hospital.
The ADL featured the cartoon on its website and said it appeared November 2 in A Raiya, a Qatari paper.
The Capital City lists as its "general supervisor" Othman Abu Gharbieh, who is a member of Fatah's Central Committee and the Secretary General of the Popular National Conference of Jerusalem, the PLO institution that publishes the bi-weekly.
The front page of the bi-weekly also honors terrorists. Under the headline "Jerusalem will speak only Arabic" are pictures of two terrorists: Mutaz Hijazi, who shot Rabbi Glick, and car terrorist Ibrahim Al-Akari, who killed two and injured more than 13 Israelis in Jerusalem.
PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas has glorified Glick's attacker, as reported by Palestinian Media Watch. In a condolence letter, Abbas wrote that the terrorist "rose to Heaven while defending our people's rights and holy places." Abbas' advisor similarly praised the terrorist, stating that his "bullets were a beacon." Abbas' Fatah movement also celebrated the attack on Rabbi Glick.
