A rocket fell next to a home near the Ashkelon coast on Tuesday morning, causing a brushfire now spreading from the impact site. Several firefighting teams are at the scene combating the blaze.

A volley of rockets were fired Tuesday morning at Ashdod, Ashkelon, Ashkelon, Be'er Tuvia, Kiryat Malachi and Be'er Sheva.

The Iron Dome anti-missile defense system intercepted rockets over Ashdod and Kiryat Malachi; the remainder fell in open areas aside from the rocket that cause the fire.

No injuries or damage are available at this time.

The IDF released an official count of the rocket fire early Tuesday, stating at roughly 10 a.m. (Israel time) that over 170 rockets had been fired at Israel from Hamas over a 24-hour period.

Thirty of these have been fired over the past two hours, officials noted.
