Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon and IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz met Friday morning to discuss the rocket attack on northern Israel on Thursday.

The IDF responded to the attack with an airstrike targeting a terror base south of Beirut.

Yaalon warned, “The state of Israel sees the government of Lebanon as responsible for what happens in its territory… We are taking the rocket fire toward Israel yesterday very seriously.”

“We will not allow anyone to disturb our citizens’ lives,” he added.

The terrorist group hit by Thursday night’s IDF strike vowed revenge on Friday morning. “Our response will come at the right time, in the right place, not how the Zionist enemy wants,” said spokesman Ramez Mustafa.

The Hezbollah television station Al Manar identified the targeted group as the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a group that is also active in Judea and Samaria (Shomron) and in Gaza.
