A bus caught fire Friday on Highway 1, leading to the temporary shutdown of the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv highway near the Shoresh junction.
The bus was carrying young soldiers studying at an IDF school. Thankfully, the soldiers all managed to escape the bus before the fire burned through the passenger section of the bus.
The bus was completely burnt, a witness said.
The road was shut down due to heavy smoke in the area. The road was filled with first responders, as well.
