Families of Iranian nuclear scientists allegedly assassinated by Mossad agents are suing Israel, they said at a press conference in Tehran.

They also signed a petition “against the Zionist regime and arrogant powers” of Britain and the United States, the official IRNA news agency reported Wednesday.

“The petition was presented to officials of international human rights organizations and authorities of Iran's Foundation for Martyrs and Veterans Affairs in a ceremony attended by families of martyrs Masoud Ali-Mohammadi, Mostafa Ahmadi-Roshan and Reza Qashqaee who were accompanied by their lawyers,” it reported.

They added that killing of the courageous "offspring of this country" would not stop other Iranians “from pursuing their path towards progress and independence.”

Ahmadi-Roshan’s father Rahim said the families are asking Iran’s courts to take their complaint to the international community.

Iran’s state television recently showed supposed confessions of 14 suspects allegedly involved in the assassinations of five scientists in the past two years.
