Dr. Ben-Artzi, a resident of Bet El and a lecturer of Bible and Jewish History at Bar Ilan University, today launched a new DVD containing a guided tour at an amazing archaeological site in the Samaria Jewish community of Bet El.

The site was first excavated by the archaeologist Prof. William Albright in the beginning of the 20th century and later was identified as the site of the Biblical patriarch Jacob's Rock by Prof. Ze'ev Vilnai, after the 1967 Six Day War. The site is located on top of the mountain near the settlement of Bet El, 20 miles north of Jerusalem.

The new DVD describes the site and explains the significance of Jacob's dream as a starting point of the journey of the Jewish People through history.  The movie appears both in Hebrew and in English in two versions, a short version for students and the general public, and a full-length documentary for teachers and tour guides.

A promo of the movie is available on Arutz Sheva's website, as well as on YouTube.  The DVD can be obtained through Judy Simon, Bet El Tourism Representative 054-666-8257, or Dr. Hagi Ben-Artzi 050-738-3550.  It is also possible to coordinate special tours of the site and of archaeological attractions in the area.
