Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met Tuesday with contestants in the annual Bible Quiz.

He told the contestants that the Quiz is an opportunity for them to deepen their knowledge with the Bible and to use it as a guide in order to get to know the Land of Israel better.
 
Besides participating in the Quiz, Bible Quiz finalists contestants are taken on hikes through the Land of Israel, in places that have significance in the Bible.
 
 
The Quiz will be held on Independence Day, in the theme of "Love of the Land." It will include 52 contestants from 20 countries. 
 
The Israeli champions who will participate are Ofir Abu, from the non-religious school system, and Shlomi Adelman of the religious Zionist school system. Uri Teichman and Noam Chadad are the runners-up.
 
Avner Netanyahu, 15, son of Prime Minister Netanyahu and Sarah Netanyahu, received the top honor in Israel's national Bible Quiz championship for youth last year.
