The Director General of the Ministry of Defense, Maj. Gen. (Res.) Amir Eshel, paid a working visit to Japan and Vietnam this week, with the aim of promoting the Ministry of Defense's cooperation with the two countries.
Eshel met in Tokyo with senior Japanese government and defense officials and agreed with them to promote security cooperation in the areas of procurement, research and development and cyber-security.
During his visit to Vietnam, the Director General of the Ministry of Defense met with Vietnamese Defense Minister Phan Van Giang and Deputy Defense Minister Nguyen Tan Cuong and signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen cooperation in various areas including defense exports, research and development and more.
