David Elhayani, chairman of the Yesha Council, has condemned posters distributed in Judea and Samaria expressing criticism of Central Command General Yehuda Fuchs.
"The advertisements published about General Yehuda Fuchs are shameful," he said. "IDF commanders and soldiers are engaged in sacred work, day and night, that enables those living in the settlements to go about our daily lives. Those behind these advertisements are a small minority of extremists who certainly do not represent the opinion of most residents of Judea and Samaria and certainly not the heads of the local authorities.
"The sharp rise in the incidents of Arab violence suffered by the residents of Judea and Samaria in the past month is the responsibility of the political echelon and especially the Defense Minister," Elhayani added, "who does not pursue an aggressive policy against Arab lawbreakers in the region and throughout the country."
