A patient in his 50s verbally assaulted a doctor during his rounds on Soroka hospital's surgical ward.
Hospital security staff was summoned and the doctor filed a complaint with the police. The patient was discharged from hospital and taken for questioning.
"Soroka's management views verbal and / or physical violence against medical staff with great severity and shows zero tolerance on the issue," the hospital said in a statement.
