Commenting on this morning's incident, in which the Iron Dome missile defense system was allegedly triggered falsely, IDF spokesman Ran Kochav confirmed that no enemy incursion had occurred.
"The alerts were triggered after two missiles were fired by the Iron Dome defense system after a misidentification," he said. "Nothing was intercepted. We are investigating the incident. We activated the Homefront Command alert out of concern that shards from an intercepted missile could fall and endanger lives."
