Finance Minister Avigdor Liberman has called for teachers' salaries to be increased.
"Increasing teachers' pay with a focus on new recruits and outstanding teachers is a desirable step to take which will make it easier to find and keep quality teachers in the system," he said. "Education is at the top of our list of priorities, making it vital to invest more in the education system.
