Dr. Yael Gillerman, the deputy head of the Union of Family Doctors, told Galei Tzahal today that medical staff are at risk from patient violence, in a discussion held in the wake of Arab attacks on hospital staff.
Gillerman was discussing the strike that is being held today in the medical sector, in order to "send a warning signal" to the government.
"In almost all community-based clinics there is no security guard," she said. "We are definitely in a complicated situation and experiencing violence, approximately on a weekly basis," she added.
