Defense Minister Benny Gantz departed for a visit to the United States on Tuesday night.
Before taking off, Gantz said, "I am going on an important trip to the United States where I will meet with the Secretary of Defense and the National Security Adviser and discuss with them the issue of increasing security cooperation and addressing the region's challenges, especially Iran."
He added, "I will also discuss the issue of Ukraine and other issues that are important for the security of the world, the region and Israel."
