Former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu opened a meeting of the Likud faction by attacking the Bennett government.

"Bennett continues to sell out the country to the Muslim Brotherhood's Shura Council," said Netanyahu, adding: "He's willing to do anything to stay in office."

"We will work together, more vigorously, to overthrow this fake, weak government dependant on the Shura Council for its survival. The country is being pulled from under our feet. A strong national government [under my leadership] will return the power to the citizens of Israel," he concluded.
