A senior Palestinian Authority official told Kan News that the PA would not agree to a joint investigation to determine the circumstances of the death of Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Aqlah.
"We will not agree to a joint commission of inquiry with Israel - there is no need for the criminal to investigate the act he committed. There will be great anger on the Palestinian street; fears that things will get out of hand [if such a commission is formed]," the senior official was quoted as saying.
