Biden admin asks Congress to approve sale of missiles to Turkey

Following a long period of security tensions between Turkey and the US, the Biden administration appealed to heads of Congress to approve a missile sale including spare parts and radar systems for Turkish F16 aircraft.

The move is seen as a gesture of goodwill to Turkey, who, as a member of NATO, has backed Washington's interests in Ukraine.

Washington is even said to be considering selling a new squadron of F16 to Ankara.
