On Tuesday, Kharkiv Governor Oleg Synegubov reported that 44 bodies had been discovered by Ukrainian troops beneath a bombed-out building in the Izium district of the city. Synegubov said it was "more proof" that Russia was targeting civilians.
The discovery comes days after Ukraine's "successful" counteroffensive to retake the second biggest city in the war-torn country.
