Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a letter to President Isaac Herzog on the occasion of Independence Day.
"I give my sincere congratulations on the occasion of the Independence Day of the State of Israel. I believe that relations between Russia and Israel, based on the principles of friendship and mutual respect, will continue to develop for the benefit of our peoples and in favor of strengthening peace and security in the Middle East," Putin wrote to Herzog.
