US Representative Charlie Crist (D-FL) on Wednesday condemned recent anti-Semitic comments made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
“The Russian Foreign Minister’s anti-Semitic comments are outrageous yet unsurprising,” said Rep. Crist. "It's coming from the senior representative of the Russian regime that is actively committing war crimes against the Ukrainian people – including Ukrainian Jews – while spewing false, anti-Jewish tropes. Along with my condemnation of Putin’s illegal war against Ukraine, I will continue to call out anti-Semitism wherever and whenever it occurs. Unchecked anti-Semitism leads to more hate and violence against Jews around the world, and I won’t stand for it.”
