Otzma Yehudit chairman MK Itamar Ben Gvir responded on Tuesday night to the threats of the Hamas spokesman, who demanded that the Temple Mount be closed to Jews on Independence Day.
"Hamas has learned the method and another threat and another threat could fold the Bennett government, which has already raised a white flag in Jerusalem and this time set an unprecedented precedent: Closing the Temple Mount on Independence Day, contrary to what was promised even in the cabinet."
"The Israeli government must understand that if it caves again and sets a dangerous precedent, the lovers of the Temple Mount will not remain indifferent and will not accept the surrender," Ben Gvir said.
